Erskine Lakes 241 responded with six men and were advised that smoke was now showing from the “D” side of the home. The fire department, located in the Erskine Lakes section of Ringwood, responds first due to emergencies in Erskine Lakes, Cupsaw Lake, Upper Ringwood, Ringwood’s Industrial Park, and areas of Ringwood State Park. The Department is made up of 100% volunteers who dedicate their time in order to help out the community that they live in. Erskine Lakes Fire Company consists of a Chief, Assistant Chief, two Captains, and three Lieutenants who run all firematic activity of the department. Every firefighter goes through tough training and gets certified by the State of NJ as a firefighter. Other training received is CPR and First Aid. All training is paid for by the department. Optional training is also available.
