Erskine Lakes showed its power by beating Hawthorne 28-7 by collecting 38 hits, 9 of them for home runs. The team was led by walk on Dave "Kup" Kuperis who went 6 for 7 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI's. Pitcher Rich Clarke and outfielder Trevor "ConED" Brennan collected 5 hits apiece. Shortstop Justin "Cali" Brennan hit 2 round trippers and had 6 RBI's. Lead-off hitter and third baseman Tim Bautz went 4 for 7 and also had an inside the park homerun. Other contributors to the team were our own 3 red helmets, Matt Ranone (4 for 6), Matt "Fin" Finch (3 for 7, HR), and Jon "Black Ops" Castleline (3 for 6). Not to be left out was our anchor behind the plate, catcher and fan favorite Mike “The Spank” Smith. It was fun by all it went towards a special cause. Thank you all who participated.
